Why Feed Raw?
At Romney Raw, we believe mealtimes should support your dog's natural vitality. Raw feeding should mirror their typical ancestral diet - high in protein, packed with essential nutrients and full of the goodness that comes with raw food and wholesome ingredients.

Keeping your dog's diet varied is key to their health, as each protein comes with their own individual benefit - some have higher protein levels or lower fat levels, and they all have different vitamin and mineral profiles. At Romney Raw we recommend trying to feed your dog between 3 to 4 proteins to your dog in a week at least.
Variety in raw feeding is also important as it also keeps your dog interested in dinner time, and it's a great way to deal with those fussy eaters! Luckily for Romney Raw customers, there is access to 17 brands of raw (and we are always adding new brands) - for you as a customer is means access to a huge range of single proteins and protein mixtures - also different textures to explore as every brand is different.
The main benefits of feeding raw are a shinier coat, fresher breath (yes, really!), better digestion and balanced energy.

At Romney Raw you can order your raw food in bulk, and you can mix and match your chosen raw rather than being brand loyal. If you want to know more, come and see us at the shop or contact us through our various channels of contact.

My dog has allergies will a raw diet help?
Did you know that around 80% of your dog's immune system lives in their gut? A healthy gut isn't just about digestion, it affects everything from your dog's skin, coat and mood to how their body reacts to allergens. By switching to raw feeding, good bacteria development is encouraged and helps to reduce inflammation, in turn helping your dog absorb nutrients properly, which will mean fewer allergy symptoms and a healthier, happier pooch.
