Welcome to Romney Raw, an independent family run business located in the village of Newchurch, Romney Marsh, Kent. Owned and run by Hannah and Mark Deacon, they have invested a huge amount of time into Romney Raw since establishing in 2017, and they are proud to be able to share their knowledge and experience with their customers, ensuring that everyone's four-legged friends can thrive throughout their entire lives.
Just like many other raw feeding companies, Hannah and Mark started their raw journey as dog owners looking for products to help with their own dog’s conditions.
Meet Albie (above). Hannah and Mark rescued him in 2014 and unfortunately Albie came with a number of skin complaints. They tried a number of different kibbles, canned foods as well as numerous expensive visits to the vet with limited success and Albie was still a very sad boy.
After lots of research, Hannah found out about raw feeding. It was at this point they were onto a winner and have never looked back - quickly transitioning their other dogs to raw feeding too. Albie had stopped scratching, his bald patches disappeared, his ears cleared up and most importantly he was so much happier. This was on top of the other health benefits that come with raw feeding, how could Hannah and Mark not be delighted and want to share with everyone else? Now all 7 of of the Romney Raw dogs (The Taste Testers / Squadron of Chaos) are on a raw diet and thriving!
Hannah and Mark have grown up around dogs - dogs have been the foundation of their lives and have always had a strong love for dogs - no matter breed or size!
Hannah, also the daughter of retired police dog trainer and handler - who now owns and runs PAW Dog Training - prior to establishing the shop in 2017, was a successful dog groomer for 7 years. Mark was a dog walker for 4 years before joining the shop full time in 2020.
